Temple Café Syu-un

Take a break at this café located inside Gyokudenji Temple. Take in the rock garden and the natural beauty that changes with the seasons as you enjoy sweets handmade by the owner’s wife. They also hold regular Zen meditation and sutra transcriptions (shakyo).

Akigawa Keikoku Seoto-no-Yu Spa

A cottage nestled between the Akigawa Valley and western Tama mountains. In addition to one of the most popular hot springs in Japan that make your skin smooth, it offers a footbath and a shop that sells vegetables harvested by local farmers in the morning.

Honey Bee Farm Museum

This hands-on museum is popular for its beekeeping farm tours, and candle-making with beeswax. After the tour, you can shop for a wide variety of honeys or enjoy honey-rich confections in its café.
